Marketing is something that has to be done very precisely. Without the proper steps put in place, it could be very ineffective. In this blog, I’m going to teach you how to make an effective, yet simple construction marketing plan.
Choose a budget that you are able to spend on your marketing campaigns. A good amount is something that won’t put you in any serious debt, but it should still be enough to make you hurt over losing it. Keep a good middle ground.
To build an effective marketing strategy for your construction business, you need to diversify your traffic. As the saying goes, the worst number in business is 1. When you only have a single source of traffic, if that one goes down or something stops it, then you are in serious trouble. A good example of diversifying traffic could be investing in digital ads, signs, business cards you can give out and post on bulletin boards, and maybe even television commercials or billboards. (Depending on your budget) Digital ads should be the first thing you invest in, since they are the easiest to scale and monitor.

Step 3: Implementing the strategy
Once you have your strategy built, it’s time to start implementing it. The first thing you should focus on is digital ads. These could be Facebook, Youtube, or Google ads. Google ads are the easiest to start off with, but we suggest Facebook since it is the easiest to scale. (You can grow easily with them) Business cards don’t need to be expensive, you can design them yourself on free softwares like Canva, which even has a built-in printing service. They need to be creative and modern, this is super important since they reflect on your brand. Once you have these down, then you can focus on the other marketing channels to diversify your traffic. Billboards, TV commercials, and magazine ads are examples of this. These should always be implemented last in your marketing plan since they are the least effective. Unlike digital ads, you can't track the performance of any of these types of ads.
Quick recap, to build a winning marketing plan, you need to budget properly, pick a variety of different marketing channels, and implement them in a strategic order.
